What is the weather like today?

As for me / To my mind / I think that / I believethat weather in Kaliningrad and its region is changeable not only all year round but it can vary/change several times a day. In truthyou never know where you are with the weather.

1.Although spring has already come but however the weather remains rather cold. As far as I remembersuch cold weather in March / April has never been in Kaliningrad. For a few days the weather is beautiful and fine. It’s even delightful! The sky is blue and only sometimes we can see / watch clouds in it. The sun is shining brightly, but the wind from the north brings cold. It’s freezing at nights and melting during the day. Telling the truth such weather is unpleasant therefore / that is why I prefer to stay at home in the evenings and at the weekend watching my favourite TV programs, reading, playing on the computer or chatting with my friends on the mobile / phone rather than go out.

2. As we seethe weather today isn’t warm. It’s nasty and cold because the wind is blowing from the north-west and clouds are covering / closing the sky. It looks dark grey and the sun doesn’t appear from the clouds. The pressure begins dropping so it’s raining cats and dogs all day long. / it’s going to rain in the late afternoon. 2.1. What concerns me I like the rainy weather very much, and if I’m not short of time, I prefer to walk under my umbrella in rain rather than miss at home. 2.2.Concerning me I prefer sunny to rainy weather because the grey sky affects / influences my mood, makes me sad or feel sleepy.

3. Speaking aboutthe weather today I would like (= I’d like) to stress / highlight that it’s stormy, nasty and windy. There is heavy thunderstorm with severe gusty wind in Kaliningrad. It often rains cats and dogs. / It’s pouring / It rains pitchforks all night and day. The sky is overcast and dark grey clouds are running fast /quickly/ rapidly in it. I’m absolutely sure that heavy thunderstorm that is rapidly approaching the city will bring strong gusty wind, rain, lightning and thunder. During thunderstorms most people prefer staying at home because it’s unsafe for everyone. The point is that / The fact is thatstrong / severe wind can knock down trees, power poles and even billboards.

4.The weather today is nice, sunny and hot. The sky is cloudless, clear and blue. The wind is warm and gentle; the air is hot because the sun is shining brightly. It’s delightful and pleasant! That is why it’s high time to relax by going to the beach, swimming in the sea and sunbathing. Speaking frankly / To be frank sunny weather greatly improves my mood and makes the world around more beautiful, colorful and attractive.

5. As for the weather today I’d like to mark that it’s quite dangerous for both aviation and automotive transport due to/because of thick fog. In this case we say that the weather is foggy. The sky is invisible, the wind is calm, but nevertheless it’s rather cool. Usually the fog gets/becomes thinner by noon, the bright sun will appear in the sky and its rays will warm up the cold air and then I hope all of us will enjoy such a sunny day.

6.When winter comes, it brings heavy snow showers, much snow and naturally a lot of cold and frost with itself. 6.1.Today the weather is windy but isn’t very cold because of heavy snowfall. The sky is covered with clouds and looks white. No wonder we are unable to see / cannot see the sun in it. 6.2.Today the weather is sunny but extremely cold. The sky is clear and blue; the air is pure, cold and frosty and the snow crunches under foot. Everything looks white, clean and wonderful. The sun is shining brightly but it is not warm at all. In such weather I prefer to stay at home rather than go out.

7. (It’s a pity, but summer will be over soon. Now it’s (almost the middle of) August, but the weather remains rather warm.) / It’s a pity, but summer is over and autumn has already come. Now it’s ___________________. The days are becoming shorter and the nights are getting longer. The temperature in the mornings is ____^oCabove zero and during the daytime it isn’t more than + _____^oC.

7.1. Today the sky is blue and clear, it’s not cloudy. The sun is shining brightly; its rays are warm, gentle and tender. The wind isn’t strong and gusty, it’s calm. Therefore such weather gives me a great opportunity to go to the sea, swimming and sunbathing. In my opinion it’s even delightful! I love such weather very much.

7.2. Today the sky isn’t blue and clear, it’s covered with clouds somewhere as usual in autumn. The sun isn’t shining brightly, the wind is a bit strong and gusty, but nevertheless / however it’s not cool / cold at all. To be frank I don’t like such nasty weather because it always makes me feel sleepy.

Telling the truth / To cut a long story short the weather usually influences my mood despite “There is no bad weather there are bad clothes”.
