The jury goes to the jury-room to conduct the deliberations on the verdict. First, the jury elects a foreman who will see to it that the discussion is sensible and that every juror has a chance to express his opinion.
When the jury passes the sentence, the foreman signs it and informs the bailiff. Then the jury comes back to the courtroom where the foreman presents the verdict.
