If you are happy with school life, then stay put. But if you’re fed up or want a wider choice of subjects, make a visit to the local sixth-form colleges.
· Bear in mind that FE colleges tend to the vocational and sixth form colleges to the academic.
· Talk to subject tutors and compare facilities to school.
· Talk to as many college students as possible to find out the A-level points score; anything less than the 18.2 national average, and you’ll have to do better than the institutional norm.
