Eloping conjures up vivid Hollywood images of passionate love and wild romantic gestures of running away together to get married. Although most brides fantasize about eloping at least once during the wedding planning process, very few actually choose this easier and cheaper route. 19. What kind of conflicts may a family face? How can they be handled? Every young family can face different conflicts:

1) finances - the lack of enough money to pay bills, maintain the mortgage or rent, buy sufficient food and other necessities and have any remaining money for recreation.

2) job or career may contribute to conflict within a family. If a parent’s job keeps him away from home most of the time, the spouse at home with the children often feels neglected or overwhelmed.

3) inevitable rivalry that occurs between siblings. Children typically seek their parents’ attention and approval, sometimes causing harm to, a sibling.

4) Conflicts about cooperation. Conflicts from cooperation arise when adolescents share something in common, and the management of that sharing is in disagreement.

5) extended family, conflict with in-laws (especially mothers-in-law).

6) Misunderstanding.

7) Changes in your family caused by separation, divorce, a new baby, moving house or even stuff like moving from a new country.

Keys to resolving:

1) Try and find a time when no one is angry, upset, stressed or tired and somewhere you can sit without being interrupted.

2) Be willing to compromise and have a number of options you're willing to accept.

3) Don't make it personal. Try and avoid being sarcastic and making personal comments.

4) Be honest.

5) Listen to what they have to say and accept that their point of view might be as valid as yours.

6) Once a compromise is agreed, stick to it - this could even mean writing a contract that you both promise to stick to.
