Practice: Initial knowledge test control. Maxillofacial prosthodontics. Goal and tasks. Jaw fractures classification. Mechanism of fractured bone dislocation. Force-majeure dentistry. Management of patients with maxillofacial injuries. Common characteristic of maxillofacial apparatuses and their classification. Transportation splints. Suspension wires, indications and contraindications. Complications. Fabrication of simple removable dentures and transportation splints from basic means.

2. Lecture: Maxillofacial prosthodontics (1 h).
Practice: Fractures management with suspension wires. Complications. Aetiology, clinical presentation and prosthodontics management of fractures with permanent dislocation of bones. The volume of specialized medical help to the patients with jaw fractures. Laboratory made splints (splint of Weber, Vankevich, Limberg, Gunning-Port).

3. Practice: Aetiology, pathogenesis and clinical presentation of jaw contracture, their classification. Prevention of contractures and prosthodontic treatment. Aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation and prosthodontics management of fractured bone mal union. The causes of pseudarthrosis (false joint), clinical presentation. Pathologic anatomy of pseudarthrosis. Tooth replacement.
