This special aircraft has been developed based on the AN-32 transport aircraft and provides containment and extinguishing of forest fires with fire extinguishing fluid discharging from two external quick-release tank units. Total weight of the fire extinguishing fluid is up to 8 t. The aircraft is also highly suited for the delivery of smoke-jumpers (up to 30 persons), special equipment packages, cargoes and fire fighting equipment.
Provision is made for reconverting the aircraft into the standard transport version for commercial cargo transportation in the absence of forest fires.
