Letter 1

Mr S. Teshima writes a letter to Mr N. Sonsawan in which he:

- informs his partner of the future exhibition of electronic equipment in Tokyo;

- says that the exhibition might be of interest to his partner as some leading manufacturers of electronic equipment in Japan and South Korea are planning to exhibit their new models;

- notifies that the exhibition is to be held in the Central Exhibition Hall in Tokyo from 3-15 September;

- invites Mr N. Sonsawan to take part in the exhibition / to visit his firm's stand at the exhibition.

Letter 2

Mr N. Sonsawan receives the letter and writes a reply in which he:

- acknowledges receipt of Mr S. Teshima's letter;

- thanks Mr S. Teshima for his kind invitation to take part in the exhibition;

- accepts Mr S. Teshima's invitation;

- requests an appointment with Mr S. Teshima after the exhibition closes to discuss some business matters.

Letter 3

Mr S. Teshima writes an offer for computers in which he:

- makes reference to their meetings in Tokyo when the exhibition of electronic equipment was held there;

- offers computers DC 3590 - this is the firm's latest model equipped with printer and modem;

- informs Mr N. Sonsawan of the terms of the offer: payment - by a Letter of Credit; delivery - F.O.B. Bangkok;

- ends the letter by saying courteously that he would appreciate an order from Thai Electronics Ltd.

Letter 4

Mr N. Sonsawan receives his partner's offer for computers and writes an order in which he:

- thanks him for the offer for computers DC 3590;

- orders 300 computers of this model at the price of $ ... each;

- notifies Mr S. Teshima that he will open a Letter of Credit as soon as he receives his Notification of Readiness of computers for shipment;

- courteously ends the letter.
