Exercise 1 Find an illustrated magazine and analyse the photos and pictures in it. Answering the following questions may help you:
1 Do you like the photo (picture)? Why?
2 Why do you think the author used this photo picture?
3 To what age groups does the photo (picture) make an appeal?
4 What are the advantages and disadvantages of black and white and colour photo (picture)?
Exercise 2 Translate the following paragraph in writing. Express the main idea of it in one sentence.
The news photographer has one of the most difficult jobs in journalism. The reporter may observe an incident or a situation over a period of time, even if it is only seconds: he then thinks over what he has seen, and writes his report. The photographer must anticipate the key moment, have his camera poised to catch it, and then press the button at precisely the right second. You cannot turn back time to recapture a missed moment.
Exercise 3 Write down a composition or an article or make a report on the topic that bothers you using photos (pictures). Try to use technology devices (e.g. make presentations in Power Point). Use the following tips for this work.
