· Teaching philosophy to undergraduate and graduate students.

Since opening a postgraduate programme at the department in 1986, ten doctoral students have successfully defended their theses and received PhD degrees in philosophy.
Major Research Results
· Patterns and regularities of the multinational state development in the second half of the XX century have been formulated. The definition of the term “nation” has been qualified.
· The current social situation in Russia has been analysed. The conclusions and recommendations have been sent to the RF government.
· The current social structure of Russia has been analysed and possible ways of its further development have been proposed.
· The crisis of the Russian younger generation has been stated based on the collected data and ways for getting this crisis over have been suggested.

Prof. V. A. Seleznyev, head of the higher mathematics department, Corresponding Member of the Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is the author of over 60 papers including 1 monograph and 5 teaching manuals. He has supervised research of 1 postdoctoral and 8 doctoral students who successfully defended their theses in mathematics. Prof. Seleznev is Vice-Chairman of a specialised Board conferring the Cand. Sc. degree.
