The research staff is involved in dealing with the following burning issues:
· Elaboration of design principles and methods of analysis and synthesis of parameters for semiconductor converters of electric power for special and general industrial purposes
· Development of general-purpose algorithms andprograms for mathematical modelling of electromagnetic processes in electromechanical systems with semiconductor converters of electric power. Development of methods for the analysis of dynamic processes in semiconductor converters with self- and forced switching
· Development of algorithms for semiconductor converter control which can provide maximum power and dynamic parameters
· Elaboration of integral methods of research and calculation of power processes in non-linear pulse circuits of power electronic devices
· Development of theoretical principles of design of highly efficient systems for generating electric power based on electromechanical systems with semiconductor converters
